Detailed Itinerary: 6 Days Kidepo & Sipi Falls Tour | Hiking & Wildlife Safari

Day 1: Transfer to Sipi Falls

After breakfast, you will transfer to Sipi Falls that are found in Kapchorwa which is north to Mbale. The other neighboring districts in relation to Sipi Falls are Sironko and Mbale. As you move towards the Kenyan border, there Lays Mountain Elgon National Park and it is at its edge that you will embrace the Sipi Falls.

Day 2: Hiking Sipi Falls.

Today after breakfast, you will head for hiking at Sipi Falls in Kapchorwa. Sipi Falls is a series of three waterfalls in Eastern Uganda in the district of Kapchorwa, northeast of Sironko and Mbale. The waterfalls lie on the edge of Mount Elgon National Park near the Kenyan border. After the hike, you will head for a late lunch and later return to your lodge for an evening relaxation.

Day 3: Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park via Moroto

Today after breakfast, you will hit the road to the famous Kidepo Valley National Park. Kidepo is one of Africa’s most beautiful destinations and is commonly known as the African wilderness. Upon arrival, you will check in at the lodge for relaxation, overnight stay, and dinner.

Day 4: Morning Game drive and evening game drive

Rising to the sounds of mother nature, have an early breakfast and go for a morning game drive in the true African wilderness along the Kanangorok hot springs which has a variety of wildlife such as Elephants, Antelopes, buffaloes, and Giraffes and you are likely to spot lions, cheetahs, and leopards as well.

After lunch, you will set out for an evening game drive in the Narus Valley. Kidepo Valley National Park has a great variety of animal species of which 28 of them do not occur in any other Ugandan national park. The Narus Valley offers an opportunity to see the park’s wildlife almost throughout the year. Here you have an opportunity to see the animals up close.

Day 5: Transfer to Aruu Falls

After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge with the help of your guide and transfer to Aruu Falls which is located in Pader district in Northern Uganda. Upon arrival, you will tour the waterfalls and you will have thrilling views of the waterfalls, and beautiful scenery and also listen to the roars of the water. You will have a picnic lunch on the large rocks at the bottom of the falls as you enjoy the cool breeze from the waters. You will then be transferred to your hotel in Gulu for an overnight stay and dinner.

Day 6: Transfer back to Entebbe

After breakfast, you will embark on your journey back to Entebbe International Airport for your flight back home.
