Detailed itinerary: 10 Days Victoria Falls To Okavango Delta

Day 1: Arrival at Victoria Falls Airport with afternoon boat cruise on River Zambezi

Upon arrival, you will be met and greeted by our professional English-speaking driver guide. He will take you through the 10 Days Victoria Falls To Okavango Delta Tour and then transfer to the hotel.  Upon arrival, you will check-in at the hotel for lunch.

Day 2: Half-day rhino tracking and Walk to the Victoria Falls

The half-day rhino tracking tour starts at around 06:00hrs and takes approx. 3-4 hours. You are escorted by a professional guide and an armed DNPW escort ranger. This tour majorly focuses on rhino tracking which is resident in Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park. This national park is home to 10 White Rhinos which are under constant surveillance to prevent them from being poached. If lucky, you might spot other animal species like Zebras, Wildebeest, Warthog, Impala, Baboons, etc.

After lunch, you will head out for the walk to the Victoria Falls. During the walk, you will explore Victoria Falls on a 2-hour walking tour.  During this tour, you will uncover one of the world’s most spectacular waterfalls. After the walk to the falls, you will go back to the lodge for lunch.

Day 3: Cross to Victoria Falls Zimbabwe side with a walk to the falls & evening boma food cuisine festival

After breakfast, you will cross to Victoria Falls Zimbabwe side for the walk to the falls. During this walk, you will head out to explore the Victoria Falls on a 2-hour walking tour.  While on this tour, you will discover one of the world’s most magnificent waterfalls. After the walk to the falls, you will return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation in preparation for the Boma food cuisine festival in the evening.

During the Boma food cuisine festival, you will experience the essence of Africa. You will enjoy the mouth-watering feast featuring Zimbabwean specialties like game meats and hearty stews. The adventurous eater can also dive into some Mopani worms. While dining under the stars in a lively atmosphere, you will feel the rhythm of African drums beating in the air.

If you feel like it you can join the fun with interactive drumming sessions where you will take part in the music and dance. This event blends food, music, and culture and offers you an engaging and memorable taste of African traditions and entertainment.

Day 4: Transfer to Chobe National Park with afternoon game drive.

After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and transfer to Chobe National Park. Upon arrival at the park, you will go for an evening game drive. Big cats and wild canines are more likely to be sighted around this time of day because they are still active and out and about. After the game drive, you will check in at the lodge for relaxation, an overnight stay, and dinner.

Day 5: Morning drive and afternoon boat cruise

After breakfast, you will embark on the morning game drive. You will take our specially adapted open 4X4 vehicles. Drives are along the waterfront where animals assemble to quench their thirst. Commonly sighted animals are elephants, buffaloes, eland, and elephants. Leopards are more difficult to see but if lucky, you can see them. This is a unique chance to experience some of the best game viewing in Africa.

In the afternoon, you will be driven to the docking point to board the boat and start the 3-hour sunset boat cruise into the Chobe National Park. The river cruise is considered one of the highlights of the trip as the clients get the opportunity to get up close and personal with fantastic bird life, hippos, crocodiles, and of course scores of elephants and Cape buffalo that make their way down to the river to quench their thirst. After the boat cruise, you will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6: Transfer to Elephant Sands game reserve with afternoon game drive

After breakfast, you will check out of the hotel and transfer to Elephant Sands Game Reserve. While at the Elephant Sands Game Reserve, you will get close to the elephants as they come to drink water. Elephants come to the waterhole to drink water daily hence making this the best place to spot the elephants.

In the afternoon, you will set out for a game drive. You will fall in love with the warm light and cool temperatures as the guide takes you for the afternoon game drive.  This time of the day is the best for game viewing because the predators and prey are very active and it feels as though anything could happen at any moment.

Day 7: Transfer to Makgadikgadi Pans National Park with an afternoon bush walk

After breakfast, you will check out of the hotel and transfer to Makgadikgadi Pans National Park. You will pass through Nata a very busy crossroads town in northeastern Botswana. The roads here fan out across the country heading for some of Botswana’s paramount towns and destinations. You will go for the afternoon baobab bush walk where you will learn more about these fascinating trees.

Day 8:  Ntwetwe pan expedition Meerkat expedition

The journey across the vast Kalahari grasslands going through the ancient baobabs as get close to Ntwetwe Salt Pan. On the way, your driver guide will share knowledge about the unique survival for the fittest of Kalahari wildlife.

Set off with your guide to spot bat-eared foxes, ground squirrels, and other desert creatures, learning about their remarkable adaptations. Experience the desert from a meerkat’s viewpoint, a special and memorable perspective on Botswana’s wilderness.

Upon arrival, you will explore the area’s rich archaeology, geology, and wildlife, searching for ancient stone tools and hearing about their origins. During the green season, witness Africa’s second-largest migration as zebras and wildebeests arrive in search of fresh grass.

After breakfast, you will travel by mokoro (dugout canoe) through the Okavango delta this morning. You will immerse yourself in the quiet beauty of the river.

In the afternoon, you will go for a walking safari in the Okavango Delta. You will leave your vehicle behind and explore on foot.  You will be close to the animals and very safe.

Day 10: Game drive at Moremi Game reserve 

Arise early, have breakfast, and set out for an early morning game drive. You will leave the hotel before the sun comes out for sunrise game viewing. If lucky, you will spot the big five as they buffalo herds, groups of impala, and other animals that roam this island.

The major part of this morning will be spent uncovering the extraordinary areas of this part of Moremi Game Reserve before going back to the camp late morning where you will be served brunch.
