Day 1: Transfer, arrival, and Gorilla trekking at Mgahinga National Park
The Drive to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park takes approximately 3 hours from Kigali in Rwanda.
Upon arrival at the park, you will transfer to the headquarters for briefing on the unique code of conduct around the Mountain Gorillas then after distributing into groups of 8 with a park ranger, you proceed to the starting point where you leave to trek the Gorillas in their natural thick forest vegetation habitat. The Cost of a gorilla trekking permit in Uganda is $800 (Update 2024).
After the gorilla trek, you will have lunch and transfer back to your hotel in Kigali.
