Day 1: Transfer to Kibale National Park

After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and drive to Kibale Forest National Park. You will be able to enjoy an impressive sight of the legendary “mountains of the moon,” which you will see on the road to Fort Portal. You will also pass through many traditional villages as you enjoy local people carrying out agriculture.

Fort Portal, which is surrounded by tea plantations and located in the foothills of Mount Rwenzori, is another place you will love. You will proceed to Kibale Forest National Park, one of Africa’s major rainforests, after sipping this green tea. About 13 monkey species make this forest noteworthy, with chimpanzees being the most commonly tracked species. The black and white colobus monkeys, golden monkeys, and bird species are among the other primate species. Additionally, Bigodi Wetland, which is owned and operated by the locals, is adjacent to the park. This location is well-known for both birdwatching and primate observation.
