The Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) is the guardian of Uganda’s rich and diverse wildlife. Established to conserve, manage, and regulate the country’s wildlife resources, UWA plays a critical role in protecting Uganda’s natural treasures, which include 10 national parks, 12 wildlife reserves, and several community wildlife areas.
Uganda, known as the “Pearl of Africa,” is home to some of the most breathtaking landscapes and unique species in the world. From the misty mountains that shelter the endangered mountain gorillas to the expansive savannahs where lions and elephants roam, Uganda offers an unparalleled experience for nature lovers, researchers, and conservationists.
