On this 1 Day Akagera National Park Wildlife safari tour, we shall set off from Kigali City in the morning as early as 5:00 am to the Eastern province of Kayonza where Akagera National Park is situated. The journey from to Akagera takes approximately 2 hours. This day trip to Akagera National Park will award you with the classical feel of a true African safari in Rwanda. Akagera National Park is mainly a Savannah park endowed with Elephants, Zebras, Giraffes, Buffaloes, and newly introduced Lions. Upon arrival at the park, you set out for a game drive in search of these mammals. The game drive will take you to the northern part of the park where most of the animals prefer to inhabit. Look out for the Zebras, Giraffes, Kobs, Lions, Elephants, and Impalas which are usually scattered along the game tracks.
After the game drive, you will have lunch. After lunch, you will take a boat safari on Lake Ihema for a beautiful mid-morning breeze and some sightings of birds and wildlife. After the boat ride full of adventure, you will be driven back to Kigali.
